“I am a trained optometrist, passionate about helping those under my care correct eye ailments to achieve a 6/6 (perfect) vision. I believe that I can do this by being visible to the community and executing the responsibilities of an optometrist to the highest degree of professionalism.”

Francis Koek is the founder and owner of Vismate Group Sdn. Bhd. (Vismate Optometrist). A certified optometrist who graduated with a Bachelor of Optometry (Hons) from SEGi University, Malaysia, Koek is also certified in Orthokeratology and is an accredited orthokeralogist. He actively participates in seminars and programmes on myopia management.

Koek is keen to create awareness of the optometrist’s societal role. He believes that practitioners must embody the most genuine spirit of their professional vocation to provide the public with the level of service that society deserves. This inspired Koek to establish the Vismate Group to offer services for eye care, but equally as necessary, to uplift the standards of professionalism in optometry practice.

The Vismate Group is highly committed to mentoring young and upcoming optometrists on the responsibilities of being professionals with a heart for community eye-care initiatives.

Above this, Koek is firm that vision care must be of easy access to the community. This is a motivation for him to expand the Vismate brand so that more people can benefit from the Vismate edge and commitment.

On the lighter side, Koek enjoys spending time with family and friends, and whenever he can, tries to catch a game of badminton.
