Vision Problems in Children
There are several reasons for vision problems in children. Impairment could be caused by genetic predisposition or perhaps, due to a previous injury. However, studies show that the unrestraint use of electronic gadgets is contributing immensely to vision issues among the young.
Excessive smart device screen time has been linked to a 30 per cent1 greater risk of myopia or short-sightedness in children. It is concerning that this risk increases to 80 percent when combined with excessive computer use.
SELF-CARE
Notwithstanding other factors such as genetics or injury, behavioural changes led by parental guidance can significantly help with the preservation of vision among children.

Vision Problems in Adults
Vision issues in adults present themselves beyond just a difficulty in seeing. The reality is, if you can’t see well, it’s hard to work well. Poor vision can lead to poor performance, and there are a number of studies1 that show how eye-sight problems drain productivity, leaving working adults fatigued and uninspired.
Working adults may spend extended hours facing a computer. As adults reach their mid-40s, a normal change in the eye focusing ability, called presbyopia, sets in and will continue to progress over time. For older persons approaching their mid-60s, common causes of vision loss among the elderly are age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma, cataract and diabetic retinopathy.
